Description: |
Founded and directed by Carol Cole and her husband David Barlow, Sophia Project (1999-2014) was dedicated to Camphill ideals and to the Waldorf early childhood approach. The project served over a hundred children and their mothers, all of whom were at risk of recurring homelessness and, frequently, abuse. After five years in the program none of these families returned to homelessness or abusive situations. All of the children went on to perform well in elementary school, high school, and college. Same Light, Many Candles tells Sophia Project's inspiring story. Available from WECAN BOOKS |
